Happy Birthday Mummy!

The whole reason I am growing my lip bush and raising money for Breast Cancer Care is down to my Mum. At the beginning of the year she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (most of you already know this) and I am slowly making progress towards my £1000 target.

Anyway, today is her birthday, so I would like to use this post as a means of saying a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY, as well as point out how proud I am of her for coping her way through the best part of a year since diagnosis.

Mummy Simms. :) 

The last 10/11 months or so have been very difficult to watch, I can only imagine what she must have felt like through Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy. As I have already said, I am very proud of her, and have no doubt that she will continue to battle on with upmost positivity.

I would also like to thank anyone who has passed on their best wishes and shown support to Mum and to what I am doing. It means a lot to me, Mum and the rest of the family. The level of support on my fundraising page has been beyond anything that I expected, and the growing amount of money raised so far reflects that.

Please continue to help me reach and hopefully smash my target.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Mum.

I FOUND IT!!

In my post where I showed you all my Dads 'tache (Click Here) I stated that I was sure there was a different photo. 

I FOUND IT! (Or rather Dad found it.)

Isn't it a really manly handlebar moustache?!

It occurred to me the other day that not many people younger than about 40/50 have moustaches any more. It would be much more entertaining if more young people were to have moustaches, and style them very interestingly. I can't help thinking that influences like Lady Gaga etc. would play a huge role in the 21st century tache. But lets face it, Its not ever so likely, is it?

I am off to ponder such issues as i fall asleep.

Numero 38.

Good morning.

It is day thirty eight and I have changed the look of my beard (upon the recommendation of two of my housemates)

Behold...

The imidiate reaction was that it makes me look even more French (or Italian etc.).

It it worth mentioning a few random surges in number of views to my blog. Over the past few days, I have had a peak of 900 views in an hour, and then a whopping 5000 views last night. This is, of course, excellent, especially considering that there are views from all around the world.

I would also like to thank the people who have made donations recently, I appreciate your support and move ever closer to my target. One month (and a few days) down...

So, it is now the end of freshers here in Leicester and I have been growing my moustache for a little over a month. 36 days to be precise. I realised earlier today that I haven't posted any photos for at least a few weeks. I am going to pop a couple up on here for your perusal. Many apologies for making you all wait for so long, I hope it was worth the wait.

I cannot believe that i have 47 or so days until December, Its going to be over TWICE this long!!! A few of the gang back home want to see my tache at Christmas time, so i might extend my next shave date by a few weeks? If you are from MK and want to see myself&mo at Christmas, write below.

I stumbled upon this the other day. :) Brilliant..

Over the past two weeks I have had an indescribable number of compliments whilst out in bars & clubs. One girl took a photo of all of her friends with me in the middle?! I have definitely had at least three compliments a night without fail so far. It is exceptionally weird having random people compliment a ridiculous growth of hair on my face! 

Weird...

The general consensus is that it suits me, despite making me look French (or Italian or Spanish).

It will be getting to the point where it is over my upper lip. Upon such a time, I will have a slight trim to prevent tache hair in teeth.

I will try and keep you more up to date.

Army.

Hello everyone, 

My apologies for not posting in a while. I have spent this week going to introductory lectures and enjoying the many delights of freshers week. Despite not having many decent acts (we suffered two members of Five on Wednesday) we have been out every night this week.

The highlight of this week was definitely Thursday's 'Fancy'. 100%. It was excellent. We dressed as army guys, looked fly, and partied hard. One of my housemates sported a brilliant handlebar moustache. Check it..

My mo is currently VERY ANNOYING. Its itchy, long and feels weird, however, its starting to look excellent. I shall stick with the army theme with this post and present you with this photo.

Next post, I will give you a few more of my daily photos, but for now, I am going to watch some films.
